Cassidy has called on rookie Jeremy Swayman to get the start against the Dallas Stars in Boston's home opener. Swayman posted great numbers in a short sample size last year and during the preseason starts looked solid and consistent, something that Ulmark struggled with a bit. Some thought Cassidy would call on Ulmark because of his contract and you don't want to undermine a goalie's confidence but Cassidy has stated all along, competition for spots is good and who is better will get the one up. Ulmark will get his spots and in his defense, he hasn't played much since April so he is I think still finding his timing and zone so to speak. So Bruin fans need to take a breath and allow Sway to take it right now and give Ulmark some practice and he will be game-ready.
